First weekend in April. We turned the fans on, put the shorts on, and had a relaxing time. We started our weekend by going to First Friday downtown. We tried out the new Noodle Bar restaurant. We both like it.
The food was delicious. I got Pad Thai and Jay got Pad See-Ew. I really enjoyed mine and would definitely go back. SisterFriend swears they have the best orange chicken she has ever had.
Saturday was WARM. We threw the swimsuits on and soaked up the sun. And we got the trucks clean.
Rosie was more of a distraction than anything, but we had a fun time watching her be silly.
She kept sticking her whole face in the suds and coming out with a soap beard. It was pretty adorable.
After the cars were squeaky clean, Jay decided to tackle one of his Honey-Do's. I had asked him to take out a bush so that I could plant my herb garden in that location. He got busy. I laid on the front lawn, drinking iced tea just as he predicted I would. It was wonderful.
While the digging was happening, Rosie would pick up the branches for Jay. Very sweet.
Here is the bystander. I'm in my Hawaii fedora. That's right. We are going to Hawaii. And I am going to wear this fedora.
And Millie, of course.
Rosie was so well behaved.
And then.
Out of nowhere, she spots a sprinkler across the street. And away she goes.
She had to be retrieved. That sprinkler sure caught her eye and she did not want to leave.
The bush is no more!
We ended our Saturday with a lovely dinner on the deck (our first one of the season). We made homemade pizza and had the Swens over. A good ending to a lovely day.
