Bathroom Organization.

Hi. Ok, I am about to show you something that NO ONE has ever seen. It kinda our dirty little secret. Seriously, I mean it. If you came over to our apartment, this little secret would be gone before you got here. We stuff it away before anyone gets the chance to see it.

I live in an apartment with an 8ft by 5 ft bathroom. No joke, I measured. In this 8x5 bathroom, there is NO storage. None. It is pathetic. Because of this, our bathroom always looks like this. Don't judge.

And this is on a good day. Normally, there is more. More products. Maybe a straightener. A curling iron. Where do you even put a curling iron in this bathroom? Sometime you can't even get to the sink. So lame.

THIS is is our only storage. Hate it.

So, we needed a change. We needed something to make this bathroom work. And as much as I dislike space-saving-over-the-toilet cabinets (they always make me feel cramped), we had to do it. Besides this bathroom is bound to feel cramped anyway. Remember, 8x5.
When we started our search, we set a limit: $80. We looked at Target, Walmart, BedBath&Beyond.

See this beauty? I would have loved to be able to afford one with glass doors.  This is one that I would have held onto even through a move or two. However, this one would set you back about $160 and can be found from Target.

Well, like I said, the budget is $80. We decided to go with this space-saver from Walmart. It was $69.95 and is a basic version of the ones I liked.

Jay put it together and it took just about an hour.

Here it is! Put together and organized!

Finally, a clean counter with everything put away. This space-saver allows everything to have a space. Before, we had piles of product  under the sink.

I am still needing to style the area. Need some more jars, baskets, and containers to make a put together and functional area. Functional is the key.

Even though we went with the cheaper version (within budget), I think that once it is styled and organized, it will fit in the bathroom perfectly.

What do you think?

  2. Wow, that was a good secret, because I don't even remember it looking that crowded. But I when I got the cookies from your apartment I looked at the new storage and its very nice! So blog readers, I can vouch for her if that's needed.
