In July, we took some days off from work and spent a long weekend in Avila with the Bazemores.
Trevor & Brandi were there. Yep, there in full force. We woke up and got to see their sleeping faces every morning. What a sight. Sharing a room with them is always interesting. Always.
The highlight of this year's room sharing was when Brandi played 'I'm gonna get the gator.' Trevor, being the gator, obviously. Wrestled that gator to the ground. One less gator in Avila. Thankfully, Jay and I are not considered gators.

Les & Zindi were there. Dad says every year that he does not enjoy this trip. That sitting on the beach is not his thing. So this year he said, "We will go to the beach and do everything but sit on the beach." And we did sit on the beach, but not nearly as much as we have in the past. We tried some new things.
Trevor, Brandi, Jayson, and I went to Sycamore Hot Springs.
We went wine tasting. Alot.
Had dinner at the farmer's market.
The group was too big. Over 40 people. Zindi felt left out. And when she feels left out, we leave her out more. It's a vicious cycle. We are working on it.
We went to two wine tasting rooms on the first day.
Jay and I bought a bottle at the Alapay tasting room.
Peloton Tasting room.
We were daily customers at Joe Momma's coffee shop. Love that place.
Favorite wine tasting room: Morovino. They had live music and some great wines. Us four girls had an enjoyable afternoon sipping wine and shopping.
Overall, we had a very nice trip. Even thought my family can literally drive me crazy in a matter of seconds because of all their antics, Jayson always had so much fun. I love that about him. Maybe once he is used to their antics too, he will also be annoyed. But for right now, he thinks they are different and crazy in a good way. If there is a good way. So. I guess I should just be thankful. I am. I am choosing to be thankful.
